In 1519, the Dawah efforts by the Sultanate of Ternate reached Alor, East Nusa Tenggara.

Muslim people lived in peace that time, until Chatolic evangelists from Portuguese came in and brought a devil mission.

Babussholah Mosque and Quran made of wooden tree bark were amongst the evidence that Islam once spread its light in Alor.

Tahun 1519, dakwah Kesultanan Islam Ternate mencapai Alor, NTT. Umat Islam hidup damai, sampai Katholik Portugis datang membawa misi jahat. Masjid Babussholah dan al Quran dari kulit kayu berusia lima abad, barangkali menjadi saksi betapa Islam pernah menerangi Alor.
